What billing software are you using?

 
We are using The Medical Manager initially created in 1982 and Practice Expert Plus initially created in 1979.
 

What are your rates and
how competitive are they?

 

For most Payors, our fee is a percentage of your gross receipts. This percentage is determined by the specialty and size of the practice, as well as the type of services that we are asked to provide. Medical billing companies generally charge anywhere from 5% to 10% for their billing services and we are very competitive within this range.
 

If I sign up with your company, how long does the implementation process take?

 

The set up of your database at our end will take no more than one business day and we can start sending your claims anytime after that. However, electronic billing may take 1 to 3 weeks depending on the Payor. There will be NO down time in your billing during this period as all claims will be submitted on paper.

What kind of customer support do I get when
I have questions?

 

At the commencement of our working relationship, you will be assigned with an account specialist. She/he will be introduced to you and you become acquainted with him/her. In the absence of your account specialist, during our working hours, you will be directed to another specialist who is fully knowledgeable about your account. Our goal is to provide prompt and friendly service to all clients. If you are more comfortable using e-mail, you also have the option to reach anyone of our staff through e-mail.
 

Where are all the reimbursements sent?
 
All payments are sent to you directly at any address that you wish. All you need to do is to provide us with the EOBs on a weekly basis so that we can update the patient account in your system.
 

What type of reports do I receive and at what intervals?

 

The types of reports that you can receive are virtually limitless. Depending on your need and request, we can prepare any type of report that you wish. At the end of each month however, we always provide you with a detailed, and easy to read report of payments collected, charges billed, adjustments as well as patient balances.
 

How secure is my data against crashes and other vulnerabilities?

 
We run three independent back ups of our entire system on a daily basis to be able to fully retrieve your data if the need ever arises. We also work closely with our computer consultant and have the latest virus protection software, firewalls and other security devises in place to protect your data from viruses, worms and other threats. Additionally we are fully HIPAA compliant.
